Cake Delivery in Courtallam: Ordering in Falls Season
Celebrating in Courtallam? Why to book earlier during falls season, which cakes hold up for an outdoor celebration, and what to tell us so the delivery actually finds you.
Courtallam runs on a different calendar from everywhere else we deliver. For most of the year it is a quiet town; in falls season it fills with visitors, and cake orders follow - birthdays celebrated away from home, family groups marking a trip, guest houses and homestays ordering for people who have travelled in.
Ordering during the season
Book earlier than you normally would. We bake to order in small batches, so there is a real limit to how many cakes can leave the kitchen on one day, and in season the busy days fill first. A cake for a Saturday in the middle of falls season is something to arrange in advance rather than something to ring about that morning.
Give us the name of your guest house or the exact spot you are staying, not just "Courtallam". Visitors often give us a landmark they have only just learned themselves, and that is where deliveries go wrong.
What travels best here
If you are celebrating outdoors or anywhere without reliable shade, think hard before ordering a cream cake. A fudgy brownie slab holds its shape in conditions that would soften frosting, cuts into equal squares without plates or forks, and is far easier to manage in a group that is out for the day.
For an indoor celebration, order whatever you actually want - Black Forest from ₹299 or a Chocolate cake from ₹399 both suit a mixed group of visitors and family.
Ordering from out of town
Many Courtallam orders come from people who are not local and are arranging a cake for a place they arrived at yesterday. Two things make those go smoothly.
First, send us the exact name of the guest house, homestay or hotel. A landmark you were told about on the way in is not enough to deliver against, and it is the single most common reason a delivery runs late here. Second, give us a phone number that will actually be answered - if the person ordering is out at the falls when we arrive, nobody can take the cake.
Group sizes for a trip
Travelling groups are usually larger than a household birthday and hungrier, because everyone has been out all day. A 1.2 kg cake serves eight to twelve people; past twenty, a two tier cake from ₹999 is easier to cut and looks better in the photographs everyone will take.
If you are unsure of numbers - and on a trip you usually are - a cake for the cutting plus a brownie slab for volume is a more forgiving order than one very large cake.
How to order
Message us on WhatsApp with your locality in Courtallam, the date, the cake-cutting time and roughly how many people you are feeding. We will confirm what we can get to you and when. Standard flavoured cakes can often go out the same day when you order in the morning; photo, themed and tiered cakes need at least a day.
Browse the everyday flavours, the premium range or the custom cakes to decide what you want first.
