Cake Delivery to a Venue: Address and Handover Checklist
Use this venue checklist to prepare an address, entrance, receiving contact, event time and storage plan before confirming cake delivery from Ilanji.
Identify the entrance, not just the venue name
Send the venue’s name, full delivery address and a map pin for the entrance where the cake should be received. If an address uses a nearby town as a postal reference, include the smaller locality. The route to the actual handover point is what we check against the 20 km road limit from Ilanji, rather than the distance to a town centre.
Agree who receives the cake
Choose a receiving contact and check that they can answer the phone during the agreed handover. Ask the venue about reception, gate or access arrangements you need to explain to us. We do not assume that a venue is a bakery partner or that its staff will store a cake without an arrangement made by the customer.
Separate arrival, setup and cake-cutting times
Tell us when the celebration starts, when you want to cut the cake, and whether any setup needs to be discussed. For a tiered cake, share the design and venue details when you enquire. We check preparation and available arrangements for that order; a route estimate is not a delivery-time guarantee.
Make a storage and serving plan
Check where the cake will be kept between the handover and serving. Tell us if refrigeration is unavailable so we can discuss appropriate options and handling advice. Ask about the cake you actually choose rather than assuming that all cake styles tolerate the same conditions. Arrange a suitable place for the box and a clear handover area.
Review the final confirmation
Before payment, check the cake name and design, selected weight and quantity, message spelling, destination, contact, agreed timing and final amount with us on WhatsApp. Google Pay and online payments are accepted. Review the order confirmation in the chat and contact us promptly if any detail needs changing.
Delivery boundary and ordering
Delivery is checked for eligible addresses within 20 km by road from our bakery in Ilanji. Send your exact address or map pin, event date and cake-cutting time before confirming. We accept Google Pay and online payments; confirm the final amount and payment instructions with us on WhatsApp.
